Miniature Pinscher: cutsie apparel and other stuff

I've been hunting for a durable winter snow jacket for Petuno. He loves it when I dress him up to keep him warm. I found a site online and went absolutely bonkers when I saw what this company had to offer. They sell items from small dog apparel to all-size accessories to pet treats and pet care products. I bought those Share-A-Treats and some Brut Cologne too, hahaha. They manufacture their own rompers (indoor and outdoor) as well as capes and bathrobes. What I like about this compnay is that they really care about animals. They donate 10% of all their purchases to different animal charities around the globe. It also seems as if they are a well-rounded company that not only caters to animals but they take part in children's educations. You'll see what I mean when you check out MaxeeAlexander.com |

I have a 5 month old female minpin. My neices come over 2 to three times per week and she is always happy to see them. Except today she tried to attack my 4 year old neice twice. She growled at her and tried to bite her in the face. She got only her hair thank god. I don't understand why all of sudden she is doing this. She wasn't trying to pet her or anything. All she did was come and sit on the couch and the dog lunged for her. Someone help. |

Miniature Pinscher: Trade my bassett for a min pin
|
Posted Date: 2002-08-28 23:54:44 By: dog lady
Looking for a good home my bassett. When I got this dog(Furbie) I did not realize that she would be so big or active. She is about 14 months old and conformationally perfect. She is intact, so only reputable breeders only. Furbie is a beautiful tri-colored. I already have 2 nuetered males one is a year old and the other is 8. My ideal trade would be a female chocolate, red or blue min pin at least 6 months, no older than 4 years. Also at least ten pounds when full grown. This was supposed to be a present for my husband, please help me make his wish come true!! Contact me by phone (405) 736-9185, or email j71hemicuda@sbcglobal.net. I can drive one state away from OK. |

Miniature Pinscher: Allergies
|
Posted Date: 2001-03-22 09:34:25 By: femaleshadow
I took her to the vet before
& he suspected it was the pollen on te grass or just the pollen outside. He gaveher a cortizone shots before & it clear it right up.But I do not want her a shot everytime. So I use Head & shoulders Shampoo for the itching & a spray to clear up the areas. keeping her off the grass is a job. But it has improved a lot. I am still working on it. The grass I suspect is the problem. Thanks for letting me vet. |

Internet Miniature Pinscher Service currently has 71 Min Pins available for adoption. Due to the recent closure of a large puppy mill operation, IMPS expects to have an additional 20-30 Min Pins in need of homes within the next 2 weeks. Please visit the IMPS site and consider adoption. www.minpinrescue.org
DID YOU KNOW.....
The Miniature Pinscher is NOT a scaled-down version of the Doberman, but a much older breed??
Min Pins are closely related to Miniature Schnauzers??
That many of the dogs adopted through IMPS go on to excel at agility and flyball??
If you would like to learn more about this wonderful breed, please visit our website. Much of the information was generously provided by the Miniature Pinscher Club of America. Min Pins are a lot of dog in a little body and would make a wonderful addition to the right home.

First off..I am NOT selling dogs.I am trying to find homes for dogs that do not have a Forever Home.
I am a memeber of the IMPS Min Pin rescue. We have a lot of Pins for adoption at this time.I believe there are 70 dogs and puppies wanting good homes. Please check out the web site and look at some of the babies we have. These are not all the dogs up for addoption. There is a adoption application to fill out of the web site.If you are interested in one of the Pins pictured write to the person who is fostering that Pin and they can tell you more about him/her.Good luck in your search.I am sure we can help you get the perfect Min Pin.

What is the average price of a red,black/tan or chocolate/tan etc. I realized that a blue is rare and cost a lot more. What is the average price of one that will be a pet or to breed? Not to show. Thanks, Glenda |

Miniature Pinscher: Breeding is serious business

.
The first step PRIOR to breeding is to take your girl to the vet for full health check. X-rays of hips, blood panel, CERF examine and brucellosis test. If youve chosen a male to breed to, these same tests should be performed.
Contact the breeder of your girl and ask questions on the background of your girls pedigree. Find out what health problems and temperament problems lurk. Its important to remember that many health problems are recessive and while a dog may appear healthy, we wont know what they may produce. You should do this for the male too.
Be prepared to keep all the puppies. Since some breeds are not a rare breed, I can assure you that youll be sitting on puppies longer than you want to! Sometimes you may end up with no calls and a litter of puppies with no homes. Sometimes there are more "puppies" looking for a home than people looking to get one!
Start saving your money now. C-Sections in the middle of the night are not rare. The |

Miniature Pinscher: Tail Docking

Hello!! A friends Min Pin just had three puppies four and a half weeks ago, and they are getting their tails docked soon.... What kind of anesthesia will the veterinarian use?? Any at all? For some reason I was thinking they put something around the tail to cut off the circulation so itd fall off.... Is that what they do? I think thats what was done with my neighbors puppies when I was little. What exactly do they do? Why do they dock the tails, anyway, just for looks??? When I get my Miniature Pinscher, if I get it early enough, I DO NOT want his or her tail to be removed... Even if it is what is normally done, I feel very strongly about it. I cant stand to think about anyone touching my perfect little baby!!! Of course, Ill have him or her fixed, but Im talking about "unnecessary" operations.... I hope I dont get flamed or anything for this!!! |
Miniature Pinscher: is there something wrong with Zenith??

Hey there! My friend has two Miniature Pinschers named Sketchie and Elvis, they are just the most wonderful little doggies, so happy and active, and Sketch gave birth to three precious little puppies four and a half weeks ago, two girls and a little boy. The girls, Amelia and Boo Boo, are very active and are starting to run around, and they love to play with each other and their mommy and daddy.... They also love to just be held and cuddled, like any other babies. But, Zenith, the boy, doesnt do that.... He will not play with the other puppies or Sketchie or Elvis, whenever they try to play with him, he cries and tries to get away or lies down on the ground and cries.... He also shakes a lot and is not walking as well as the girls. Zenith was not the runt or anything, actually he was the biggest puppy... Could there be something wrong with him mentally? And he is only happy if a human is cuddling him, he tries to stay as far away from the other dogs as possible and cries and trie |

Miniature Pinscher: Health testing prior to breeding
|
Posted Date: 2000-04-09 01:20:00 By: Sheena
In Miniature Pinschers, most breeders try to put a
Championship title on their dog to see how it measures
up to the standard. Age is usually 2years old before breeding.Shots need to be up to date, plus deworming. Brucellosis prior to the female coming to the male. Some breeders will also have patellas vet checked and do thyroid and vWd.Also a copy of your 3 generation pedigree. It doesnt always matter to a breeder if the female/male is a champion, so long as it it a nice specimen of the breed. Sometimes a stud contract will state that all puppies are sold on Non-breeding contract to be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.
What do other responsible breeders out there do?

Miniature Pinscher: min pin with avascular necrosis

Help! My min pin was just diagnosed with avascular necrosis
of the femoral head. Basically the blood flow was cut
off to the hip joint head during growth. They want to
operate and take out the hip joint. I guess they do this
all the time for hip displaysia. My breeder has never
heard of it in min pins. My min pin is 10 months old next
week, female, purchased from a very reputable breeder.
The vet says this is not a hereditary problem.
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks. |

Hello-
I am looking for a minpin mix to replace a Yorkie/minpin mix that my parents just lost. I would love to find a yorkie mix, but another little dog of similar nature might work! If anyone has any breeding "accidents" of this sort, or has any leads for me to follow, please contact me. Thanks! |
