First Time Breeding

I am planning on breeding my male and female Chocolate Labs. My female is 2 yrs old last month. She is still very, very puppy like and I am afraid that maybe she will not be mentally ready for puppies and will choose to play all the time rather then take care of the pups. Is this possible? Or will the natural mother instint come to play?
