should I take my pyr pup back?

OK...I need some advice....last year Pepsi had her first litter....I thought I had been very careful in selecting good homes for all my pups...unfortunately I may have been wrong...my neighbors brother bought one of the pups from me and recently his home burned down and he came to stay at his brothers home....first of all he didnt show up with the dog who is a little over a year old now...I thought soemt hing had happeend to her and I asked about her...I was told she was "guarding" the house....later that evening my neighbor asked if I would go with him to the house to get the dog...he also forwarned me that he thought there was something wrong with her....I went with him and found a thin dog with hotspots on her body and ticks and fleas ...she hadnt been given a bath since I sold her last year and she was running around in the burnt out house so she had a somkey smell to her....I brought her home and have had her ever since...I gave her a bath, have given her some antibiotics,

I was checking the message boards looking for pups and couldnt help but respond to your message. I am sorry to hear how badly the pup was treated. I was just wondering if maybe you took pictures of the pup in the bad condition you found him in. If the previous owner wants him back and you have pictures maybe you could show them to animal cruelty/welfare and maybe they could help you keep him. I dont know if it will work but it would be worth a try to prevent any more harm to the pup. Good luck, I hope everything turns out for you.

sorry to here that but unless you had a contract or unless you could show animal cruelty how she looked before you cant keep her. you could how ever offer to pay for her probably anyone who would treat an animal this way doesnt want the dog to begin with and the other option is keep her from him in which case you may have a court battle
