puppy strangles

Hi, My 7 week old golden was just diagnosed with puppy strangles. He is now 9 weeks old and he has sores mostly on his nose and few around his eyes. He has been on prednisone and an antibiotic for about 1.5 weeks. He is responding well. We soak him in an antibacterial bath the vet told us about and it seems to help. My question is how is your dog doing? Did it leave any scarring? If so, how bad? And about how long was your puppy on medication? I would love to hear from you. Tammy
