We are currently searching for a show / breeding quality female Giant Shcnauzer. We prefer salt and pepper but open to the right pup. We are experienced as we both grew up with both syandard shcnauzers and my husband with the gentle giants (Mastiffs) so we are aware of the big size yet with the Schnauzer breed itself. Pleae email us if you have pups available or know of someone who does. Reference provided if needed. Thanks |

We have a new giant puppy who is a male 16 weeks old. We have had two previous giants one rescue and one from 12 weeks of age. We picked up this pup at 6 weeks of age. This dog is like neither of the two before him. He is constantly biting at your hands and your pant legs. You can walk him and tire him out and he still bites all the time. I do not remember the first dog which we got at 12 weeks doing this type of behavior.. It is getting old fast and he has become a frustating puppy to say the least. He tend to bite my wife much more that he does me. |

Giant Schnauzer: Looking for a another Giant/Companion
|

Im looking to add another member to the family. I currently have a 3 year old Giant Schnauzer, Max and a 14 year old Beagle, Casey. Max is sooo cool and such a huge part of the family. As I type this, he sits here watching me with ears up and a sparkle in his eyes. Casey, well, he is a HUGE part of the family as well. He has seen everything and has grown up with my son Dominick. As I type this, he is curled up around my feet. Sadly, Casey (beagle) is not doing well and reality has set in with me..Casey isnt going to last much longer. I think that Max knows this too somehow..he follows Casey all over now...he also helps him to make his bed at night and licks his bad leg :( ..... Im afraid that when Casey does go to heaven that Max (I wont go into what it will do the family) will be devastated. Frankie and I have talked about this and as hard as it will be to lose Casey...Max will be just as hurt and very lonely. Max is used to having another dog in the house. Frankie and I bot |

I have only had the experience of owning a Giant for 3 years. I believe there is no other breed for me. I like the size
85 lb. is great. And so gentle, yet I feel very safe. Gabby is our Giant. She loves to be in what ever room we are.
She is easy to have in the house. and was easily trained. She never forgets to go around and check on the children
before she beds down for the night. we love her and are so proud of her. |

Our family wants to adopt a Giant to keep our 14 year old giant named Bear company. He is lonely and needs a youngn to perk him up and keep him young. Cant give a puppy the constant attention it would need. We are a mom and dad and two teens, 13 and 14, all animal lovers and wanting another "pup" to become a part of our family. Had a few BAD experiences with some Breeders lately, looking for an adoption. Cant figure out these "animal lovers" they just dont get it, our pets are a part of our family. Please respond as soon as possible. Thanks

We are looking for a Giant Schnauzer to rescue or purchase. Live in Oregon on 1/4 acre lot with Greenway,Bike Path, and beautiful McKenzie River. Have one daughter age, 13. We are the caregivers of a wonderful Giant Schnauzer rescued by our friends the Larsons. This dog is so much fun! Have tried to convince them their dog just prefers us-to no avail. Now they are moving to Florida, and taking our Bodie with them. We also camp @ Paradise Camp Ground and raft. The ocean is 58 minutes from our front door. There is an agility program in the Willamette Valley we participate in. We have one Westie who loves Schnauzers that are bigger than he is. Looking for a black if possible. References, Groomer, Vet and of course Bodie will vouch for our expertise with larger breeds and undying love. debkaiser@aol.com |

I have always had minis and recently rescued a beautiful black giant from the humane society. Has to be the sweetest dog Ive ever had. He is almost perfectly trained. Great on a leash, sits, lays down on command. The problem! He is so hyper that he can only sit for 2-1/2 seconds befor jumping up on you. He is a lover and just wants to hug, but it is a pain in the butt. He wont stay down. The other problem is that I have an older mini that hates the giant. The giant wants to play so badly, but old Mr Grouchy tries to attack the giant, and occasionally the giant defends himself and accidently hurts the little one. (He is currently limping becauce he got pounced on.)
As sweet as he is, my life has turned upside down with this hyper dog. I would like to find a "GOOD" home for him. Any suggestions? |

I am posting this for a friend. A PERMANENT home is needed for a 4 year old, pepper and salt, spayed Giant Schnauzer bitch, preferably a home that does NOT have a small dog in it. Rachel is a sweet, loving, laid back girl that has her Ch. title (Skansen bloodlines) and is now retired from the show ring. She is fed the BARF (bones and raw food) diet and needs to be kept on this diet. She is also on thyroid medication (which is relatively inexpensive). Please serious Giant lovers only respond. Thank you. |
