nameing dogs

I was wondering if I could use some of the name from my dogs ancestors to name my puppy. Such as Dixieland Daisy. Dixieland is a nationaly known bloodline. My dog has this bloodline in her. I know that there has been a Dixieland Rusty and Luke. How do I go about making sure this is okay with out stealing someone elses names. I was told that I have to contact the first owners of Dixieland but I dont' know who they are or how to get a hold of them. Thanks Thlyon@aol.com
