we bought a pup in april we were told was a border collie.she shows no herding instinct,is pretty square, and looks exactly like a finnish spitz.we had bought a border collie from him before, and he is now registered.we think he just said they were borders to sell them,as not many people know about finnishes around here.she cannot be a mutt,as all 13 or so pups from diff.litters looked exactly alike.it is NOT a puppy mill,as both our dogs from there are high quality, and the breeder only has a couple litters a year.it was a rude thing to do,if she is a finnish, but she is very smart and was not expensive.any info:pocomouse@hotmail.com |

What is the price of a finnish spitz with good bloodlines
on average? Do you have to go to a European breeder to find top notch blood lines or are there well bred ones in the U.S.? |

We have just gotten a reddish brown dog from the animal care and control that was called a chow mix. He looks just like the picture in this web site of a finnish spitz. The only evidence of chow is a blackened tounge. Is this a trait of the spitz or is there a little chow in this dog?

Im trying to figure out the behavior of my 8 year old Finnish Spitz. He used to love to walk and was happy and energetic. This past year he has changed dramatically. Now he is disgruntled, lethargic and doesnt like to go for walks. Is this a normal aging process for this dog at this age? Any advice? There seems to be no physical problems. Also, does anyone know the life expectancy? Thank you. |
