akitas are great family pets

I have a four year old female akita. my kids are 2yrs and 3yrs old. and very active boys..I've also run a family daycare in my home for the past 3.5 years.I would, without a doubt, get another akita if mine past.Shelby is my 4th akita. And to ad to it all she is diabetic, she needs two insulin shots a day and a diet food to keep her sugar regulated..My children help with keeping her fit.The only thing I could say negative about akitas is, they are very large babies and they take up more room in the bed than the kids..
