Older boy just adopted

Hi! I am new to this board and to chihuahua's - completely! I was visiting a rescue and never imagined bringing home one of these guys! However after seeing him- 1 eyed blind, rear end a bit atrophied, and the worst part-- ALL ALONE IN A PEN FOR @ YEARS-- I had no choice. My heart insisted that I take him home. NOW WHAT??? WHat should I know about this little guy? Oh yeah, he is 8-9 years old and his teeth have grown in at evey angle imaginable! Please help with all your learned advice. Thank you.
