Belittling

I am not trying to belittle your experience or expertise....I just think you come on a little strong..You dont help people make an educated decision with such a strong attitude. Rather, you scare them away from owning a perfectly wonderful pet and inveribly they will look elsewhere. Some people cant afford the prices of a "show Quality" dog nor can they afford to show them as is required by most show people. I, for one dont think that should automatically exclude them from owning the kind of pet they would like to have. I agree whole-heartedly about rescue. I think that is the first place they should look, but there isnt always a rescue dog that will be compatible with their family. Where does it end up? Back in rescue.!

What is wrong with a person breeding excellent quality dogs and selling them for pets with a spay/neuter contract to the average Joe that cant afford to show or to buy a show quality dog? I totally respect what show people are doing. I think they

I agree that you shouldnt come across strong, I didnt intend to. There is a very large misunderstanding you have about so called show breeders. I am lucky if one puppy in a litter turns out to be good enough to finish its championship. The rest are sold on spay/neuter/limited regs to loving pet homes. I do not force the average pet buyer to buy a show dog and sign a contract that they will show it. They wont do it anyways. They dont have to do anything they dont want to. If I have a show quality dog that I choose not to keep for my own breeding program I will sell it to someone interested in showing, not a pet owner. If I cant find a suitable show home I will sell it at pet price to a pet home with no expectations of showing it. I do not sell my puppies at exhorbitant prices. Only a couple hundered dollars more than the byb ads in the newspaper and half the price they are in my local area pet stores. No sorry that I cant say that I understand your point of view as I do not know what it is. Please explain it for me. I thought it was that all show breeders sell all show quality pups and require that the new owner show it and they charge exhorbitant prices. None of this is true, that is my point of view.
