Looking for advice

I have been researching breeds for the last month and would greatly appreciate any advice on the rec. breed of dog given the below info: Living Situation: I am single in a home with a small fenced yard; live in suburban area Time away from the house: Graduate student; summers I do most of the work at my house (away 3-6 hrs/day); winters and falls I will be away 4-9 hrs/day I am looking for a breed w/ the following characteristics: Temperament: relatively laid back (ie likes human contact, medium energy, but can handle the time I am away) Living conditions: access to small fenced yard (house) Grooming: 1x/week Shed: Light to medium Size: Medium Exercise: I am an active person and plan on a daily walk/run w/ my dog; weekends would be devoted to playing frisbee, catch, etc
