I remember when I first started looking for a pup, 15+ years ago. I hadnt a clue, so I looked in newspapers. None there. Then the back of a dog magazine. Fine, maybe 2 or 3 but across the country. But these days, the internet is the place to go! Where to start? These days, Id search out a breeders web page and read as many as a bull terrier search can find. Definitely the btca page, Barbary Coast Bull Terrier Club page (my club!), look at Banbury, Baker St., Corsaire (Victorias page), Lionheart (GREAT info on what youd be getting into), Action, off the top of my head. Post them, and fill out their questionaires. You may have to wait a year or two. Thats a GOOD sign for a reputable breeder!
Bully people know bully people, and your search may take a life of its own. At the same time, go to local shows. Most bully clubs have events. Ours has a carnival. There are B matches, where its more casual and you chat with people.
Hope this helps someone,
