is my pup too small

Hello, I'm not new to dogs although I'm very new to pit bulls. I've only had one in my life and she was a beautiful red stray, but she was extremely sweet. I bought a pretty tan and white female pup when she was about 4 weeks old and I've had her every since. She's about 18 weeks now. When she was 14 weeks I bought a second puppy from the guy I got her from. The situation wasn't the greatest. The boy was 17 and his two females had dropped to litters of pups 11 pups in each litter. When I originally decided to get a new dog I had decided on the cocker, but immediately upon seeing the pups and the situation, I decided that I could at least make difference in one pups life. They were all I think head toward a life of fighting. Which the boy never denied. Anyway this is the question. All the pups from both litters are like 7 times as big as my Lily. Even the second male pup I bought out weighs her. She's about 5 inches tall at the shoulder and she weight 10 lbs. Is this a normal size for her? I took her to the vet and he assured me that she was healthy, but I can't help but think something is wrong when all her brothers and sisters are twice as big as she is. Please help. thank you.

Maby your pup just got her gean pool from the other end of the family.I would not be concerened.I think it is a good thing that you went ahead and got the pit pups. It can be hard to find DECIENT owners and breeders in this breed. Good luck TKO

Hey Maby, I am from Canada and I just had a female have 13 pups in her litter. This was a planned litter and my dogs are not use for fighting. The guy where you got your pup should be reported and have his dogs taken away from him. Pit bull fighting is illegal no matter where you live and it is that little creep that gives us good breeders a bad name and the dog breed also. Anyway now to you pup, she is just the right size and you give her a chance and just continue loving her, giving her all the food she can eat plus treats and in no time she is going to take off and be as big as her brother that you got. You are not thinking of breeding the brother and sister are? You are asking for trouble if you do. I have been breeding for the past 6 years and when my girls have a litter they are finished for at least a year depends on how hard it was for them then it is 2 oe 3 years. Pit bulls can anywhere from 25 -100 lbs. If the puppy is healthy what differnce does it make how big he/she is? No your pup is not to small.

Actually pits should weight between 20-55 lbs max. Anything over 55 lbs is crossed with perhaps mastiff.
