I have a 6 month old doxie pup who is not housebroken. He goes outside every time I take him out. He does not go in his crate. BUT -- while out and about in the house (confined to 2 rooms)when he has the urge to go, he does, wherever he wants to! By this age, I feel like he should have made the connection already. Anyone have any tips on how I can remedy this situation? I want to keep him, but we need to fix this now. By the way, I have a miniature poodle too. Is this a factor? Is my doxie marking territory?? Please advise! Thank you.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on breeding miniature dachshunds.

My family and I have decided to get out of the puppy raising buisness for now. We have several Dachshunds avaliable. American Cream LH male- carries piebald and blue, Isabella female LH-carries blue dapple. Red double Dapple female smooth- carries English Cream and a few others. All of these Doxies are very young and very sweet. They range from 8-24 months. None of the females have been bread- they are still just under a year or at a year old. We have spent alot of time and a lot of money on these dogs. We hope they will find loving homes where they will be appreciated not only for their rarity, but for their loving nature. 910-539-9321

Can anyone tell me why my dachshund crys ever single time that I leave the house or even just leave the room? Also she has learned to go pee outside but she still doesn't get to go poo outside is there a reason why she learned one and not the other? Thanks

am small breeder in CO. breeding for 15 years. I am now breeding piebald pups and have not been able to get black&tans that are not heavily ticked. I have gorgeous red pies,little or no ticking. anyone know where I can get a pair Bl&T that are not ticked? I personally love these little ticked hounds.

We had two 5-year old's that had extreme complications with ruptured discs. One had two surguries at two different vet schools and barely survived. She had a disc removed from her neck and now is doing great. Our second dog suffered paralysis in both back legs after she ruptured a disc in her back. Despite rushing her to Ames, Iowa(Iowa State) nothing could be done to save her. We are wondering if anything can be done to prevent this from heppening in our other two doxies. They are aged 2 and 4. They get regular exercise and are not obese. Please help. Thank you!
