older puppy wanted

Looking for an older pup (up to 2 1/2 yrs old) for my father-in-law. He lives in a home ona cul-de-sac, with a beautiful fenced in backyard in Sherman Okas, Calif. He recently lost his border collie mix to a rare blood disease and would like to get another dog.

We own a gorgeous male standard with a great dispostion and he loves ours but doesnt feel comfortable with a young pup. Hes great with animals and takes excellent care, as they were a child of his. Hes retired and home all day, although has plenty of energy to play and take care of a dog.

Anyone have a poodle for him that would love to be a new friend to someones grandpa??
