You should find a BT breeder in your area, ask if you can interact with the dogs to see what kind of
reaction you have to them. Some people are allergic to dander, coat, and\or saliva or a combination
of them. Handle the dogs, pet them ruff up the coat, see if you can come in contact with BTs that are
in various stages of coat (newly stripped coat is different from blown), handle dogs that have and have
not been bathed, let them lick you and do this for at least an hour. See if you react in anyway
You will then know if owning a BT is possible. I have had people come to look at puppies that were
allergic, some reacted with skin erruptions like hives, others did not react at all and some only had a
problem with dogs that had older coat and no bath. I DONT want puppies coming back to me for
rehoming because someone wanted to TRY a puppy so I dont take that chance anymore. Good Luck |
