looking for a pet

I am looking for a pet-quality border terrier for my Mother. She has long wanted one and I would like to give her one as a gift. She hasnt gotten one before because they are difficult to locate in our area: Arkansas. She is not interested in show quality but would like to try fly ball or agility with the dog. She would like a female over a male, that is her only special request. Age doesnt really matter, although a very old dog wouldnt be great for extensive exercise. I am limited on budget and hope the desire for a pet rather than a show dog will help in that area. A rescue dog is also an option for us.
