We have had a total of three bloodhounds. The first two lived a full, happy, and healthy life. The third one, we were robbed of 6 or more years of our babies life. When we bought his from West Virginia, his parent were on the premises. They said that they never had any health problems with any of there dogs. Well look out. After 1 year and 9 months, our Scooby was diagnosed with idiopathic epileptic seizures and put on meds. These seizures are caused by genes that either the mother or father have. Our poor Scooby was only 2 yrs 2 mths 2 days old when he passed away due to one of these seizures. Our whole family is deeply upset especially our 4 year old son. Please just look out and know where your puppy came from and always get a health guarantee. We just dont want anyone else to have to go through the pain and agony that we have gone through. We are currently looking for another puppy, but we are being very cautious this time. This Message to all is dedicated to our beloved Scooby Doo (12/20/00-02/22/03)
