How to find a whippet

I keep reading message after message asking how to find a whippet. First, contact American Whippet Club. They will have a list of breeders in your area. Or, log on to the AKC website, find out when and where conformation events are in your area. Go and talk to whippet breeders. They should tell you when they plan to have another litter or if they do rescue...have them take your number. Sometimes breeders will want to place an older dog in a pet home, this just means that the dog didnt turn out to be show or breeding quality. These dogs make wonderful pets!
