Basenji Newbie here!

Ive become very interested in the Basenji breed and before I buy I wanna learn EVERYTHING I can. I have a few questions and if someone could answer them in Post or in Email. My parents had a Basenji, they werent to deadly fand of the breed but I am.

#1. Any good books I should buy?

#2. If I do buy what are all the health problems I must ask the breeder about before I get a puppy?

#3. If I breed what are the nessicary tests I MUST do before breeding or using a stud?

#4. I have read about this breed a lot so I know the charateristics but how are they with other dogs if rasied around them?

#5. Same with cats?

#6. And anyone here what have people found is the best food thier good with? I feed my collies Innova/Pro Plan mix with greenbeans and Missing Link how is this?
