I have a 4 month old female Vizsla and she is already crate trained. When I\'m about to leave, she already knows that she will get a treat, usually a kong stuffed with goodies, and by herself she gets into the crate and waits for the treat. Best to train them right away and always leave some treats in the crate so she/he will think of you leaving her alone as a positive experience.
