Go to the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Americas website at www.scwtca.org. They have a
nationwide breeders list (you should also check out the info pages). Consider contacting breeders
on this list all over the country as you will increase your chances of getting a Wheaten. Most reputable
breeders have a wait list and only breed one litter a year. They will interview you extensively about
your living situation (Wheatens can never be allowed to run off leash or in an unfenced area), why
you have decided on a Wheaten (so do your research about the unique aspects of this breed), and
will make sure you know about the extensive grooming, training, socialization, etc., that is required
with these dogs.
A lot of backyard breeders are capitalizing on the new demand for this dog. Unfortunately, they often
arent knowledgeable about health issues, etc. Please make sure anyone you buy a pup from has
