Wheatens tend to go through a difficult stage with their coats from @ 9 months and it can last until
theyre 18 months. During this stage, youll have to brush every day. The rolled leather collar should
help. This stage will pass!!! If you want more advice, consider subscribing (its free) to the
Wheaten-L, a listserv of Wheaten breeders and pet owners who share advice on how to deal with
things like this! To subscribe, send an e-mail to listserv@apple.ease.lsoft.com. Leave the subject
line blank and for your message, type "Subscribe, (your name)." Then you can post your question
there and get lots of responses from very knowledgeable Wheaten people, Im sure many of whom
have had to deal with this same issue! Ive found it very helpful.
Also, are you brushing the coat first, with a slicker brush and, then, with a greyhound comb? With
the greyhound comb, you need to layer brush the entire coat, beginning at the skin and working out.
