There are a few good breeders in Florida, however, you should "branch out" and consider puppies from reputable breeders in other parts of the country, too!
Most reputable breeders will only have a litter or two a year and will have a wait list.
A good breeder will thoroughly "interview" you to determine if you are knowledgeable about
what owning a WHeaten entails (extensive grooming and training). They will require you to spay/neuter
the pup at the appropriate age, will require you to return the dog to them if for any reason during the dogs
life you cannot keep the dog, etc. They will be knowledgeable and open about any disease in their lines
(PLE and PLN) and will absolutely have proof that the parents hips and eyes were certified!
Check the Soft Coated WHeaten Terrier Club of AMericas website for a list of breeders! Although I live
on the east coast, because litters are far and few between, I got a pup from a West Coast breeder!
