Why are these dogs so hard to find? I had a female(ABITTY) that I rescued about 10 years ago but died last year. She was the absolute best dog I have ever had. I am more of a doberman or big dog lover but these little dogs are the best. I miss my little girl very much. I have 3 breeders within a 100 miles from me and Im very excited about getting a new australian terrier!

Hi! I have a 5 yo spayed AT who started limping about one week ago. I took her to the vet who said that she may have injured her right hip. Does anyone know about hip "problems" in australian terriers? I am a little worried. Thanks Jack

Im in California. Will travel, ship or whatever means are necessary to get a new friend! Were searching for an Aust. Terrier, Border Terrier puppy or adult for agility and "mousing" in our hay barn. We live on 6 acres that backs up to 3,000 acre 98 year land trust and lead very active, outdoor lives. We do have young kids, but they know how to respect a dogs "space". I am interested in rescuing a young dog or findinf a foundling that needs a home.

I know very little about the breed. How much shedding occurs? Are they good dogs for condominium living. They must be on a leash when they are outside. Is this fair to the breed? Are they good with one family member alone? I am alone. Will this breed be good company? I love animals and they become a member of the famly. Is this acceptable with this breed? I am also considering a Shuzitsu. Thank you for any information you might be able to offer.

My Aussie has had several tests looking for the reason he throws up stomach bile. He seems happy and alert and otherwise in good health except for this intermitten problem. I am worried and have spent a small fortune at the Vet so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I welcome any questions or comments. Hope to hear from someone soon.
