Wow, if you think this is jumping down someones throat, you are very naive about internet bulletin boards. That is probably how the dog ended up in the shelter to begin with. The buyer was not informed about the breed or how to train them. This dog was obviously bred by a backyard breeder who did not screen buyers nor be responsible or caring enough to take back his dogs if the owner cant or doesnt want to keep them. I do not have Sammies but have friends that do and know what their house is like and I groom and show her dogs. I know what she goes through and I know what she asks people interested in buying pups. The first question she asks is if you have ever had the breed before, do you realize how much they shed? Do you have experience training a big dog? Then someone person goes to the shelter and sees a dog they like the looks of but knowns nothing about the temperament, training, amount of shedding. And then the poor dog ends up back at the shelter or locked up in the garage |
