Hello, Due to a recent divorce I must find loving homes for both my Pharoah Hounds. I have a 6 year old pet quality mail (neutered) and a 5 year old show quality female (intact). My main concern is for their well being and having the transition be comfortable for them.

Were searching for a reasonably priced pet quality female Pharoah Hound puppy born sometime after 4/15/00. Ideally, she would be in the 7 to 8 week range. I just adopted a year old mixed Pharoah w/the help of Basenji Rescue Adoption Team (BRAT). The BRAT foster people kept swearing it was a Basenji-Yellow Lab mix, but the vet report ( and plain eyesight), believes it to be Pharoah Mix. Hes a lovely animal, so willing to please, so majestic to view. According to the records he was originally picked up from an impound in Manhattan... Is it possible through breeder files to find out who his dam/sire

may have been with so little to go on? Im so in love with this dog, I really dont give a damn that hes not pure bred, in fact I believe it adds to his character, but I would like to know as much about him as possible.

Any information anyone can give me about finding a puppy to adopt will be deeply appreciated. I am interested in a companion dog. I cannot find anyone in my area who has a Pharaoh. I am in south Louisiana. Does anyone know where the closest breeder is located? When and where is the next show? I want to learn everything that I can about this dog! Thanks...Therese

Hi, I am looking for more information on this breed and was wondering what kind of temperment these dogs have? Do they make good family dogs and are good with small children? Are they sort of hyper or laid back? Do they get along with cats? Other dogs? Do they like to jump and will they jump if confined in a fenced yard? Im considering a lot of different breeds for our first family dog and know very little about this breed. I am part Maltese and was interested to know that they came from Malta. If this is the breed we choose, Is there anyone who knows of a good breeder in the Hudson Valley NY, Dutchess County area? Or the closest area of NY? Thanks to all for any help.
