First, have him checked medically by a vet to see if it could be that. All toy male pups should be neutered by 4-5 months from the day of birth. This prevents leg lifting, marking, and peing in the house. If he is not neutered, neuter him. This will lessen it but since he is over the 4-6 months, he will still leg lift outside. Then, you must clean the area he goes on in the house with Natures Miracle to get his scent out or he will keep going back to his scent to pee. Then, begin to crate train him. Let him out every 2-4 hours and take him to his designated pee pee spot outside. When he goes, praise him like he won a medal. Keep this up consistently and he should go outside where you want. It will take time as he has been going in the house for a while and he is being re-taught. If you catch him peeing pick him up as you run him out the door to HIS spot. When he goes praise him greatly. |
