The Eskie is an affectionate and intelligent house pet. They are easy to train - their ability to learn and flashy appearance have made them an attraction at circuses and shows. This breed is very people-oriented, they do not like being separated from their family. Obedience training is important although harsh methods should never be used. They can be problem barkers if untrained or ignored. The Eskie should be brushed out several times a week, paying special attention to the area behind the ears.
