The Weimaraner is an active and affectionate family pet. They may be too rambunctious for small children, but are playful companions for older kids. This breed will be well-behaved indoors if they have sufficient exercise. They need to be able to run and exert themselves daily. They do not like being left alone and can become destructive if they are bored and alone. This breed is protective of their territory and family. They require early and firm training or they can be hard to manage.
