The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is not a "pit bull" but its appearance is close enough that most people won't be able to tell the difference. Like most Bull and Terrier breeds the Staffordshire is extremely loving and devoted to people, any aggression they may show will only be towards other dogs. Some dogs will be able to live peacefully with other dogs while others will never be able to, it depends on the individual dog. They are gentle with children and have been called a "nanny-dog" or "nursemaid dog".
