The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a quiet house pet. They need plenty of daily exercise, mental and physical, or they can be extremely destructive. Early training and socialization are a must because although this breed is a quick learner they can also be independent and strong-willed. They are very protective of their family but do not tolerate rough handling, they are better suited for older children.
